Report: Motorola starts testing Android 8.0 Oreo for Moto Z2 Play

Lenovo-owned Motorola confirmed last year that it will provide an update to the Android 8.0 OreO on its modular smartphone Moto Z2 Play. Now, the online report suggests that the company has begun testing the Android 8.0 ORO update for the big Z2 Play in Brazil.

First reported by the XDA developer, the update has a weight of 1.13GB and also has a security patch for the month of January. With updates, all of the smartphones will get all the features including the Android 8.0 Oreo features-in-picture mode, Google Play Protect, Notification Dots, Android instant apps and others. This update promises better connectivity and longer battery life.

For unknown people, currently Rs. Sales at 27,999, the smartphone was launched in June last year. The successor of the earlier launched Moto Z. Play, handset is made on the company's modular platform and it is compatible with all different Moto mode

The Moto Z2 Play Metal UniDeses is flanked and comes with a fingerprint sensor placed on the display. The smartphone has a 5.5-inch full HD Super MOLD display with a 1080x1920 pixel resolution. Display Cornings Protected from a layer of Gorilla Glass. The smartphone running the Android 7.0 Nougat is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor.

The handset comes with GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Users can expand more storage by adding a microSD card. The device offers all modern connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type-C.

The Moto Z 2 has 12 MP rear cameras with stage detection and laser autofocus. The camera can also record 4 or resolution videos. On the front, there is a 5 MP selfie shooter with two-tone dual-LED flash. The smartphone is backed with a 3000 mAh battery, which is less than the big Z-3510 mAh battery.
