Xiaomi Redmi 5 Gets a New Variant, Features 4GB of RAM
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 now has a third variant with 4GB RAM in China. Listed on the official Xiaomi store, this will be the third variant in the Redmi 5 range that was previously launched in 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM options. The Redmi 5 4GB RAM variant's price is  CNY 1,099 (roughly Rs. 11,000), a premium of CNY 200 (roughly Rs. 2,000). It apparently comes with no other specification upgrades except the increased RAM; it has inbuilt storage of 32GB. The smartphone is yet to launch in India.

As we've mentioned, the 4 GB RAM variant is listed on the official website of the recently launched Redmi 5 China in China. The new variant is available in Black, Rose Gold, Light Blue and Gold Color Variants. Smartphones were launched with a Redmi 5 Plus at an event in China.

Dual SIM (Nano) Redmi 5 has a 18: 9 aspect ratio with 5.7 inches HD + (720x1440 pixels) display. The phone MIUI 9 is based on the top of Android Nogget. It is powered by the Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SOC, which has 2/3/4GB RAM and 16/32 GB inbuilt storage.

In the camera section, the Redmi 5 comes with 12 megapixel rear camera flash, PDAF and F / 2.2 impact lenses. There is a 5-megapixel camera sensor on the front, which has a great 3.0 features for enhanced portraits. A fingerprint sensor is placed behind the rear camera module.

The connectivity options on smartphones include Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jacks and Micro-USB. Sensors include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and georoscope.

The phone has a 3300 mAh battery under the hood. Redmi 5 weighs about 180 grams.
