Google is launching a new initiative to make the Internet safe for you

New Delhi: In order to create awareness around Internet security, Google India launches a public initiative "Security Checkpoint" to safeguard all their personal data on Monday, to protect young people and first-time web users from account hijacking, protecting Android devices from malicious apps and if they lose it Their device.

For the first time unofficial is being made online through easy access modes using first-time Internet users, but due to lack of technical literacy, Indian users are increasingly vulnerable to bad actors and misuse of the Web, the company said in a statement.

"Through our initiative, we want to nudge Internet users to take action to safeguard themselves, because the first step to a safer Internet starts with them. We are asking users to get started on their journey by securing their data and devices by asking them #SecurityCheckKiya", Mohanty added.

To protect  account hijacking, all Android devices and Gmail users can review their security settings and Google Account activity with "Google Security" with one click. This automatically scans for any vulnerabilities and guides users to keep their account safe.

To protect Android devices from malicious apps, users can scan and scan Android devices for any harmful apps through Google Play Protect. Google Play Protects all those scans for malware before and after you install it and automatically enabled on your device.
