NEW DELHI: OnePlus said that its its flagship model, OnePlus 6, has crossed 1 million sales mark globally within 22 days of the launch of the device.

Peter Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus, said, “As always, our community has surpassed our expectations and we have them to thank for the overwhelming success of the OnePlus 6.”

The company, in a statement, said that the OnePlus “community” was involved in a all aspects of the company from product development to defining the latest ad campaign for OnePlus 6. According to the company, there are over 5 million active OnePlus community members with the Oneplus community forums averaging 10 million views per month.

OnePlus announced a ‘Community Celebration Season’ that will see the rollout of offers over 12 days from June 15, 2018 to June 26, 2018. The offers include Rs. 2000 cashback on Citibank credit and debit cards and no-cost EMIs available across “popular” banks for three months.

The statement also mentioned that OnePlus customers will receive Rs. 1500 cashback on exchange and non-OnePlus users will receive Rs. 1000 for the same. The OnePlus referral program will, also, allow customers to redeem an extended warranty of 3 months by referring other people.

The latest offering - OnePlus 6, according to the company, has become the fastest selling smartphone since the company’s inception in 2013. The previous models, OnePlus 5T and OnePlus 5 sold a million units in three months of their respective launches.
